Denim Do No Wrong?

A denim shirt dress is a great piece for your Spring wardrobe however, how you wear and accessorize this piece can make or break your look.  Yesterday, on my commute home, I saw a girl wearing a denim shirt dress and she did everything wrong... she took this item and made it look like it was from her Grandma's closet not a Spring Wardrobe Staple.  Below are some examples of how to be a Denim Do and not a Denim Disaster!

This dress is the perfect blank denim canvas for your look, however I hate how she is styled in this image.  She looks frumpy and boring!  Loosen up the buttons and show a little skin so you can display this gorgeous statement necklace.  Add a men's woven belt that will allow you to flip the excess under and make sure to blouse up some of the dress so it's not so flat.  A chunky watch and sunglasses are a must for a sunny day on the town and add a pair of wedges to complete your look!
